Meet the Woman Behind it All

Maggie Knight is a mama, creative, and founder of The Cute White Truck. A retired firefighter turned truck-girl and Airbnb host, she’s a bread-baking, egg-bringing kind of lady who shows up to your event with heart. The Cute White Truck started as a way to show her daughter and her community that women can do gritty, creative, and meaningful work on their own terms.

Henrietta, the truck, was supposed to just get a little love. Instead, she became something bigger: a way to connect, create, and share joy with the people who show up for the stories, not just the shot.

“I’ve always loved old cars and trucks. I think that came from my family’s love of history in any form. But when I was younger, trucks weren’t for girls. And if you did like them, people made assumptions about you.

No one ever taught me how to weld or fix up a truck. I didn’t grow up in a place that valued those skills, especially not for girls. So I taught myself what I could, leaned into fire service for hands-on learning, and eventually, I bought Henrietta.

Now, I run this business with my husband and daughter by my side. We take Henrietta to shoots together! It’s our family time, our dream come true, and our way of helping other people create something beautiful.

A young woman with long curly hair, wearing a black cap, black t-shirt, and ripped black jeans, sitting on a red mechanic creeper in front of a vintage white Chevrolet truck with rust and wear.

I am absolutely the gal behind the truck, and sharing Henrietta would not be possible with out the unwavering support my husband has in me, my dreams, and us. He has never once doubted the idea to turn Henrietta into a prop car. Took on the role of lead mechanic as the opportunity to fulfill a dream instead of a burden. It's become part of our love story. We each always wanted to have old vehicles and work on them one day. To be here now living out our dreams is awesome. Sharing those dreams with our daughter is even better. Taking Henrietta to shoots has become some of our favorite time as a family. We are usually somewhere beautiful forced to slow down and spent the time quietly together.”

A happy family of three posing outdoors at sunset, sitting on the back of a truck, with mountains in the background. The man has a beard and wears glasses and a hat, the woman has long hair and is wearing a pink hat and jacket, and the young girl leans on his shoulder, smiling.

Henrietta

The Prop Truck with Personality (and Patina)

An old white Chevrolet pickup truck parked on a grassy field with trees and hills in the background under a cloudy sky.

Henrietta is a 1962 Chevy K10.
Authentic vintage patina with modern touches gives the perfect vibes.

She grumbles just enough to feel cool, sits high on 4WD, and wears her rust like jewelry.

Henrietta is like a lived in pair of Carharts. She has the real life lived in feel because she really has been. Everyone wants the perfect copenhagen circle in the back pocket, the canvas that is soft but strong. The tan pants so faded they look white. When you pull them on you look and more importantly feel something while wearing them.
They are an experience earned by time.

That same feeling can be felt through Henrietta and her 63 years worth of breaking in to the perfect fit.
The paint is worn down on the dashboard where the keys swung while driving.
On the driver door you can see the wear pattern of a wedding ring hitting the door as the driver opened it.
The new bumper catches your eye, but then you see the paint worn down in only a way that time can do. The paint is chipping when gasoline spilled over the years.

When you sit on her bench seat you feel that comfort of experience and it becomes authentic, because it is.
